"Quality hoofcare is one of the most important facets of equine management. Without proper attention to farriery in it's most basic form, the likelyhood of subsequent lameness increases exponentially. Of utmost importance to the application of farriery is the understanding of anatomy and biomechanics as it relates to the movement of each limb, each individual horse, it's conformation, the discipline it is being asked to perform and the environmental averages that is is subjected to. This is the start point, the benchmark, the basis for all sound farriery."
BRP(2008)
Daily focus on the maintained or improved performance and/or soundness for every horse is the foundation to servicing perfomance horses. Great pride and effort is taken to make note of even the slightest change recognized at each appontment. Communicating those observations to the rider/owner/trainer is a part of this consistant protocol.
Communication is paramount
Communication between horse owner, hoofcare professional, veterinarian, trainer and/or manager is a must. It takes a concerted effort to maintain performance horses and it is important to be connected to the client and professional network.
Every effort is made to respond to phone calls, emails or texts within the shortest amount of time.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about your hoofcare needs.
